Divide the full-day price by the number of people who travel. The bigger the vehicle, the lower the figure, as long as the seats are used.

Minibus or coach?
A minibus is easier on narrow streets and tight drop-off points, and it can collect a group from several addresses without a fuss. A coach carries more people for less per head and has room for luggage, but it needs a proper stop with space to pull in. Executive minibus or full-size coach goes through the choice for corporate groups.
What moves a price within its range
- Distance. Mileage is the biggest single factor, including the leg back to base.
- Hours. A day of eight hours costs less than ten, and waiting at a venue counts as time.
- The day. Saturdays, bank holidays, race days and December are dearer, and the largest vehicles go first.
- Stops. Each extra pickup or drop-off adds to the route.
- Early or late. Very early starts and late finishes can carry a supplement.

How much does it cost to hire a coach in London for a day?
A 34 seater coach is usually £650 to £850 for a full day of eight to ten hours, and a 55 seater is usually £700 to £1,050 or more. The driver, fuel and insurance are included. One-way and long-distance journeys are quoted by route.
Is a coach cheaper per person than a minibus?
When the seats are full, yes. A full 55 seater works out at about £13 to £19 a head for the day, against about £24 to £34 for a full 16 seater. A coach only saves money if you will fill most of it.

Yes. One-way journeys on the 22, 34 and 55 seaters are quoted by route, because the price depends on the distance and the return leg.
How far ahead should I book a coach?
As early as you can, especially for Saturdays, bank holidays, event days and December. Coaches are the first vehicles to go on busy dates.
